February 2016: "The Making of an Indie TV Pilot: with Juan Arambul"

Join us this THURSDAY night to welcome Juan Arambul, independent Writer, Director, Actor, Producer and Artist.

Juan will be previewing his pilot episode of "AlumNew", which he wrote and directed - and will be speaking about his creative process. Juan brings a fresh perspective on creative license in a time where technology is making it possible for creatives to take their ideas to the next level.

ABOUT JUAN ARAMBUL: Juan Arambul wrote and executive produced his first Sitcom Series and TV Pilot at the age of 22.  He showcased his love for the Entertainment industry by acting and hosting shows at a young age, Graduated College from California Baptist University and landed his first leading Feature Film Role in “21 Outs” the movie. He then made the move to Santa Barbara, during which time he created “AlumNew,” – a Series revolving around recent College Graduates who move back home with their parents.  Which he was able to write, executive produce, and co-direct. 

While pursing his career in the Entertainment Industry, Juan has worked as the Program and Development Director for St. Vincent De Paul’s, Circle V Ranch Camp.  He has a degree in Communication Studies. He has helped create Team-Building and Leadership Programs that allow 5th-12th Graders, the opportunities to participate in Free Leadership Development Workshops. 

Mr.  Arambul is currently in the Creative Process of recording his first Music EP, which will consist of 8 original songs, featuring Los Angeles artist “Tara Honda” and Indie Rock Band “Emerald Portal.” He is also in the process of Marketing his TV Show “AlumNew", while giving inspirational talks to a variety of High Schools about pursuing your passions in life and creating avenues for yourself.

Board Meeting: Elections 2015-16

Get involved in Screenwriters Association of Santa Barbara! We need people to join the board to keep our meetings going. In this meeting, we want to hear from you. What would you like to see for coming year?

We want our members to be a part of the conversation. So if you attend our meetings, we hope you will get involved in keeping our organization going.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! 

Elections are held every year in September, and we are reaching out to our community to see who is available to support and keep our organization running. 

TALENT DIRECTOR / SPEAKER COORDINATOR:

The most support we need is in finding speakers. We'd love to find an industry angel who believes in supporting the arts locally who can connect us with talent to share their stories. 

PR & SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR: 

It would be great to get more engagement with our online audience, so we are in need of someone to manage our Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as posting to local forums. 

Here are all of the roles within the organization, if you'd like to step up to contribute in one of these areas, let us know:
